Campaign Objective
WILSON X NEW YORK SUNSHINE "Extra Duty" Collection
Coinciding with the 2024 US Open, Wilson partnered with streetwear brand New York Sunshine to launch the "Extra Duty" collection, a tennis-inspired line honoring the often-overlooked workers who make professional tennis possible. Building on the momentum of the PS87 relaunch, this collaboration served as a continuation of Wilson's push into sneaker and streetwear culture. Inspired by the "Extra Duty" tennis ball, the official ball of the US Open since 1978, the collection prominently features the phrase "tennis court maintenance," paying tribute to these unsung heroes. This collaboration blended the artistic sensibilities of New York Sunshine with Wilson's core tennis culture, creating a fresh, contemporary line designed to appeal to both hypebeasts and tennis lovers. Debuting during the US Open, the "Extra Duty" collection not only honored Wilson's legacy but also solidified its position at the intersection of sport and style.
